OWS, OccupyMN, Anonimous Message America: Occupy Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank! World Revolution

Message from anonymous - #OcuppyMN Occupy Mineapolis

Occupy Wall Street AntiBanks Movement

Greetings citizens of the world.

This is a message from anonymous.

OWS OccupyMN Anonimous Message America Occupy Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank World Revolution, Occupy Wall Street
On October 7th we will stand in support with our brothers and sisters as they occupy the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
We have watched the actions of law enforcement during Occupy Wall Street and find the police arrests completely unacceptable.
We the people have the power and, will use it.
Our one demand we have ever had is Freedom.
Simple yet so complicated, or so it seems.
We will be pulling back the veil of deception that has been placed over the people's eyes now for far too long.
The Federal Reserve Banks have a stranglehold over the citizens.
Now most people go to work every day to make someone else wealthy while they are, through no fault of their own, pushed deeper and deeper into debt each day.
People are all now considered a piece of property.
An asset to be used as collateral in world financial markets.
Drone tax payers.
Fodder for the machine which devours a man's soul with little care or respect for anything besides profit and outlandish bonus payments.

people must begin to see your situations clearly and without fear.
For without action now,.... the machine will destroy what is left of our children's future on this most excellent planet.

This is a call from anonymous.
For non-violent resistance movements.

As We do not condone violence in any way.

We will march from 90 Hennepin Avenue Minneapolis, on October 7th at 9:00 AM and our voices will be heard.

We are Anonymous.
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forgive.
Minneapolis expect us.

If you need trillions of dollars and don' t feel like earning it this is the place for you! Normally they call this "counterfeiting" but these guys are legit and can do it for all for free! Do you have credit card debt? It's free money! Need to start a war in the Middle East? Free! Bailing out your multi-national bank? FREE!* *Offer only applicable if you are in cahoots with the Federal Government thus the name "federal reserve"

USDOR America Revolution OCCUPYWALLSTREET Topless Protest: Why we Occupy Wall Street

#USWDOR Unite States Day of Rage #OccupyWallStreet #OccupyAmerica #OccupyUSA World Revolution

Why we Occupy Wall Street? protesters speak.
Wall Street Topless Protest Video

march around Wall Street
#OccupyUSA

The anti-capitalist protesters #OccupyWallStreet #AntiBanks movement who have set up tent camp in lower Manhattan are becoming a reference of the area, and a reference for America and for the World.

organizing demonstrations in Dallas, TX and in Austin, TX simultaneously, it's so amazing to be a part of something so big

Casey O'Neill had no regrets. He had travelled thousands of miles across the country – and gave up a well-paying job as a data manager in California – to sleep rough in a downtown Manhattan public square, enduring rain and increasingly chilly nights. Police keep a close eye on him every day.

But O'Neill was happy to be part of the "Occupy Wall Street" that have transformed New York's Zuccotti Park from a spot where Wall Streeters grab a lunchtime sandwich into an informal camp of revolutionaries, socialists, anarchists and quite a lot of the just-plain-annoyed.

"Regrets? No. God, no," said O'Neill, 34. "It is a little scary for sure. Somebody had to make a stand to do this. It is kind of amazing right now." O'Neill is even happy to sleep on the park's concrete benches. "It's OK, actually," he said.

O'Neill is part of an encampment in the square that looks ramshackle but in fact is highly organised, and looks rapidly on the way to becoming a fixture of downtown Manhattan life – if the police let the protesters stay there.

That looked unlikely on Tuesday when several protesters were forcibly arrested and taken away, including one woman who ended up in hospital. But for now the protest continues after beginning last weekend with a march on Wall Street.

The protest has morphed into a wide-ranging anti-capitalist demonstration that has attracted attention – and support – from around the world. Bemused bankers, construction workers and other downtown workers pass by every day, stopping to gawp and take pictures. Sometimes there is a lot to look at. Today, for example, Zuni Tikka, 37, was engaged in a topless protest along with several friends.

Wall Street protesters go topless

The protesters' camp in Zucoti Park Lower Manhattan

Standing bare-breasted behind a poster that proclaimed "Capitalism Isn't Working", she happily posed for interested bystanders. The lack of clothing, she explained, was a metaphor. "I can't afford a shirt. Wall Street has stolen the shirts from our backs," she said.

That carnival atmosphere is typical of the protest. Anyone hoping (or fearing) for a violent assault on the bastions of American capitalism will be sorely disappointed. Instead, several hundred protesters each morning and evening set off to march by the New York stock exchange.

They blow trumpets, bang drums and chant slogans while holding placards that read "Free Market My Ass" and "Too Big Has Failed". They go back and forth down Wall Street, behind barricades lined with police, and then return to the camp in Zuccotti Park.

They then spend the day holding workshops, informal concerts and various protest stunts (such as the nude demonstration). They welcome visitors and tourists and try to obey the demands made by the police.

Each day a "general assembly" is held where topics and events are discussed in a free-for-all of debate and discussion. "It is a leaderless situation," said Thorin Caristo, 37, who nonetheless is part of a small core group of people who try to keep things organised.

Why OCCUPY Wall Street activist protesetr Thorin Caristo Explains

One of the protesters, Thorin Caristo, explains why he is there

The protest has attracted wide support and has a sophisticated social media operation. There is a live steaming video TV feed onto the internet and a huge presence on Twitter. Supporters around the world have even been sending in orders to a local pizza shop to keep the protesters fed. So much so, in fact, that some organisers have asked them to stop ordering pizza as they had more than they could eat. Now most help comes in the form of money or – most importantly – more people coming.

"People are donating from all over the world. There are car pools of people arriving from Wisconsin, California and Florida. They told us: 'Hang on, we're coming!' One woman who has travelled a long way is Becky Wartell, 24, a massage therapist from Maine. "I am a small business owner!" she laughed. She had just returned from the latest march down Wall Street.

Wall Street activist protester Becky Wartell point of view

Anti-capitalist protester Becky Wartell explains why she has joined the protests at Wall Street

"What everybody's here protesting is that fact that 1% of the population controls so much wealth. We are the rest of society. We are the 99%," she said.

There is a broad range of opinion on display. Some are travellers who have made protesting into a lifestyle. Some are students. Others are working people, like O'Neill and Wartell, who have taken time off to join in. No one knows how long they are going to be in Zuccotti Park.

As with much of the protest, things appear likely to just evolve as they go along. The same goes for the protesters' aims too. "We don't have a precise goal. We want to stay a month. That's a loose goal. Or maybe longer. We want to be here until we have entered a worldwide dialogue about transparency and accountability in the financial system," said Caristo.

One thing many of the protesters do know is their facts and figures. For every hippy talking about world peace or traveller wanting to heal the world, another will mention the exact tax rates that rich Americans pay, or that 20% of the US population now control 84% of the wealth. Or that the richest 400 families have the same net worth as the bottom 50% of the entire nation.

Even Tikka, as she posed topless before a gaggle of fascinated construction workers, was protesting deliberately next to a sign that read: "I didn't say look, I said listen."

USDOR Antibanks Resistance Movement: Boston People Protests Against Bank of America

World Revolution Antibanks Resistance Movement: Boston People Protests Against Bank of America
Global Economic Crisis. Antibanks Bailouts Global Resistance World Revolution Movement.
People Against NWO New World Order Criminal Bankers

American Citizens Protestors descend on Boston Bank of America, ramp up to fall excitement

Dozens of protesters descended on Boston Bank of America branches today, following the company’s announcement that it will slash more than 30,000 jobs in the coming months. This was the first, exciting, taste of dozens of actions, events, trainings and more happening this Fall targeting the big banks for draining wealth from our communities and crashing the economy.

With shouts of “Bank of America: Bad for America” and “We can see your greedy side!,” local residents stormed bank branches in Fields Corner and Grove Hall, presenting three core demands of the financial giant:

Pledge to renegotiate underwater mortgages and stop foreclosures
Resume lending to small businesses
Stop layoffs
Despite its claims of financial hardship in the media, Bank of America posted a $10.2 billion profit in 2010 – and raked in an additional $1 billion federal tax refund. The company pointed to fallout from the housing bust as the rationale for its latest round of mass layoffs. Bank of America holds the largest number of foreclosed properties in the country, but refuses to renegotiate with many former homeowners.

Stay tuned for more information on how the big banks will come head-to-head with their most formidable foe yet-you.

American Protests Take Wall Street Manhattan
Wall Street Occupation..several thousand protesters are still trying to occupy wall street,

do not believe press reports about there being only one thousand.

Originally organized by Anonymous but including others such as Adbusters.

Almost a complete news blackout, see tweets, it was tweet trending but then twitter removed it, also see live webcams, if the whole wide world is watching it will make it harder for their police to crack skulls.

A lot of Americans are waking up to find out how free they really are in the land of the free.

Police are now treating this peaceful protest as a potential riot, police radio traffic are call ing it a 10-34. Police have been issued with plastic ties/handcuffs and have prison buses lying in wait. Please everybody we have to help this go viral.

As for the mighty debt we are the victims are a pyramid scam run by the American banks, we as Europe should club together and send a clear message to America, can't pay won't pay.

We need these young people to jump start us! they are our future, and they want their rights..what's wrong with that? I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH THEM!!! We need a change. Wake up sheeple!!

Why do people think this nation is a democracy? Democracy is where 51% of the people take away the rights of the other 49%. This nation is a Republic, do your research. When asked what he had given us Benjamin Franklin stated: " A Republic...if you can keep it."

America OCCUPYWALLSTREET USDOR NY Peoples Assembly Statement: Call For Revolution
US protesters rally #OccupyWallStreet #TakeWallStreet #USDOR #WorldRevolution
America Take Wall Street People Preparing For The Night OCCUPYWALLSTREET USDOR NY Peoples Assembly Statement Call For Revolution

US Day of Rage - New York City Peoples Assemblies Statement

America OCCUPYWALLSTREET USDOR NY People’s Assembly Statement: Call For Revolution

This statement is ours, and for anyone who will get behind it. Representing ourselves, we bring this call for revolution.
We want freedom for all, without regards for identity, because we are all people, and because no other reason should be needed. However, this freedom has been largely taken from the people, and slowly made to trickle down, whenever we get angry.

Money, it has been said, has taken over politics. In truth, we say, money has always been part of the capitalist political system. A system based on the existence of have and have nots, where inequality is inherent to the system, will inevitably lead to a situation where the haves find a way to rule, whether by the sword or by the dollar.

We agree that we need to see election reform. However, the election reform proposed ignores the causes which allowed such a system to happen. Some will readily blame the federal reserve, but the political system has been beholden to political machinations of the wealthy well before its founding.

We need to address the core facts: these corporations, even if they were unable to compete in the electoral arena, would still remain control of society. They would retain economic control, which would allow them to retain political control. Term limits would, again, not solve this, as many in the political class already leave politics to find themselves as part of the corporate elites.

We need to retake the freedom that has been stolen from the people, altogether.
If you agree that freedom is the right to communicate, to live, to be, to go, to love, to do what you will without the impositions of others, then you might be one of us.
If you agree that a person is entitled to the sweat of their brows, that being talented at management should not entitle others to act like overseers and overlords, that all workers should have the right to engage in decisions, democratically, then you might be one of us.
If you agree that freedom for some is not the same as freedom for all, and that freedom for all is the only true freedom, then you might be one of us.

If you agree that power is not right, that life trumps property, then you might be one of us.
If you agree that state and corporation are merely two sides of the same oppressive power structure, if you realize how media distorts things to preserve it, how it pits the people against the people to remain in power, then you might be one of us.
And so we call on people to act
We call for protests to remain active in the cities. Those already there, to grow, to organize, to raise consciousnesses, for those cities where there are no protests, for protests to organize and disrupt the system.

We call for workers to not only strike, but seize their workplaces collectively, and to organize them democratically. We call for students and teachers to act together, to teach democracy, not merely the teachers to the students, but the students to the teachers. To seize the classrooms and free minds together.

We call for the unemployed to volunteer, to learn, to teach, to use what skills they have to support themselves as part of the revolting people as a community.
We call for the organization of people's assemblies in every city, every public square, every township.

We call for the seizure and use of abandoned buildings, of abandoned land, of every property seized and abandoned by speculators, for the people, for every group that will organize them.
We call for a revolution of the mind as well as the body politic.

Across the country we are calling all citizens to take action in their cities...go to your capital...go to your biggest cities... to your local business centers... come together...STAND UP and BE HEARD!!! Peaceful protest by the people...ALL the people must be the first step
Our voices are being drowned out by the money that is buying our freedom from us the money that is buying our government that we supposedly voted for the money that is corrupting everything for which the original revolution that started this country stood for! What we live under now is nothing short of a corporate oligarchy and can no longer be tolerated.

Building on the momentum of the Arab Spring movements, protesters in the US are gathering in New York City's financial district in a bid to show mass resistance against the dominance of the country's financial system.

What started as an online campaign has translated into action on the ground, with protest organisers calling for thousands of people to "occupy Wall Street" on Saturday.

"On the 17th of September, we want to see 20,000 people flood into lower Manhattan, set up beds, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months," organisers wrote on the www.occupywallst.org website.

"Like our brothers and sisters in Egypt, Greece, Spain, and Iceland, we plan to use the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic of mass occupation to restore democracy in America. We also encourage the use of nonviolence to achieve our ends and maximize the safety of all participants."

The leaderless movement includes hacktivist group Anonymous among the protesters. The group released a video online calling on people to take to the streets on September 17.

Similar to the structure of the hacktivist group itself there is no defined central authority, but Twitter accounts like @AnonOps are hubs of information for those attending the protests in person and virtually.

Real Democracy NOW USA Revolt Take The Square Repudiate Debt: AAA To Junk Just What Wall-Street wants America Needs Revolution
There is no reason why the American tax payers should be held hostage to pay for a, so called, national debt. The wishes of the tax payers have been totally ignored and were never given a choice. Both political parties sold out to the special interest manipulators and placed an illegal burden on the tax payers.

This debt is not the American people's debt. The debt served the special interest crooks so only the special interest thieves should be responsible for what they have caused.

Real Democracy Now America: Stop the Machine! Create a New World! Freedom Plaza Washington DC American Revolution

Real Democracy Now America, Stop the Machine, Create a New World, Freedom Plaza, Washington DC, Freedom, Democracy, American Revolution, Real Democracy Now, America, Stop, Machine, Create, New World, Freedom Plaza Washington DC, American, Revolution, October, October Revolution
Stop the Machine! Create a New World!

Freedom Plaza, Washington, DC
1331 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest
Washington, DC
Octuber 6, 12:00 - 24/12 at 15:00

A Call to Action - Oct. 6, 2011 and onward

October 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan and the beginning of the 2012 federal austerity budget. It is time to light the spark that sets off a true democratic, nonviolent transition to a world in which people are freed to create just and sustainable solutions.

We call on people of conscience and courage—all who seek peace, economic justice, human rights and a healthy environment—to join together in Washington, D.C., beginning on Oct. 6, 2011, in nonviolent resistance similar to the Arab Spring and the Midwest awakening.

A concert, rally and protest will kick off a powerful and sustained nonviolent resistance to the corporate criminals that dominate our government.

Forty-seven years ago, Mario Savio, an activist student at Berkeley, said, "There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all."

Those words have an even greater urgency today. We face ongoing wars and massive socio-economic and environmental destruction perpetrated by a corporate empire which is oppressing, occupying and exploiting the world. We are on a fast track to making the planet unlivable while the middle class and poor people of our country are undergoing the most wrenching and profound economic crisis in 80 years.

"Stop the Machine! • Create a New World!" is a clarion call for all who are deeply concerned with injustice, militarism and environmental destruction to join in ending concentrated corporate power and taking direct control of a real participatory democracy. We will encourage a culture of resistance—using music, art, theater and direct nonviolent action—to take control of our country and our lives. It is about courageously resisting and stopping the corporate state from destroying not only our inherent rights and freedoms, but also our children’s chance to live, breathe clean air, drink pure water, grow edible natural food and live in peace.

As Mother Jones said, "Someday the workers will take possession of your city hall, and when we do, no child will be sacrificed on the altar of profit!"

We are the ones who can create a new and just world. Our issues are connected. We are connected. Join us in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 6, 2011, to Stop the Machine.

Real Democracy Now America, Stop the Machine, Create a New World, Freedom Plaza, Washington DC, Freedom, Democracy, American Revolution, Real Democracy Now, America, Stop, Freedom Now, Machine, Create, New World, Freedom Plaza Washington DC, American, Revolution, October, October Revolution, Rise Up, Rise Up America

******************************************************************************
Take the pledge and sign up to attend here. Let America know you are coming to make history and a new world!

"I pledge that if any U.S. troops, contractors, or mercenaries remain in Afghanistan on Thursday, October 6, 2011, as that occupation goes into its 11th year, I will commit to being in Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., with others on that day or the days immediately following, for as long as I can, with the intention of making it our Tahrir Square, Cairo, our Madison, Wisconsin, where we will NONVIOLENTLY resist the corporate machine by occupying Freedom Plaza to demand that America's resources be invested in human needs and environmental protection instead of war and exploitation. We can do this together. We will be the beginning."

Gerald Celente on US debt insanity: Collapse inevitable

While the politicians battle it out over who would be to blame if the American economy hit a brick wall, Gerald Celente from the US-based Trends Journal says the political elite will not recognize simple solutions to curb America's deficit. "The country is going bankrupt -- just look at the numbers. The numbers do not lie -- politicians lie," nails Celente. The bigger picture includes the long-predicted devaluation of the dollar, says the forecaster, recalling that gold gained $US 115 an ounce last month alone. And against that background the talks about deficit reduction do not mention the most obvious measures like cutting the military budget or slashing foreign aid, which topped $US 57 billion a year. "How about companies like General Electric that made $US 14 billion last year, paying no taxes?" says Celente, who is sure there is plenty of room to turn the deficit situation around and clean up the economy. "We do not have a representative form of government, we have a government that represents only the very powerful and the very rich and that is all this is about -- letting them keeping their perks

Greece scenario to repeat for the US?

Austerity measures in Greece triggered violent protests on the streets. The situation is nearly out of control and some predict that, if the violence continues, the casualties could lead to a governmental collapse.

Meanwhile California just passed a round of austerity in response to its budget crisis. They are cutting or postponing billions of dollars to schools and healthcare programs for the poor and are increasing fees to nearly 9 billion dollars. Nationwide, Congress is struggling to stop piling onto the 14 trillion-plus dollars of debt and raise the debt ceiling.

Demetri Kofinas, financial journalist from New York, joins RT's Lauren Lyster from Athens to discuss the issue.

NWO Austerity coming to the US soon. Prepare Now

Greece riots. Glenn beck would like you to think that these are all communists and anarchist protesters. He is preparing his followers to stand down when the same austerity comes to our nation. Police crackdown, US activists lose rights

The United States prides itself on the rights to free speech and protest. However, as more preemptive arrests of activists occur, are US citizens losing their rights? Over the weekend RT correspondent Kaelyn Forde and cameraman Jon Conway were arrested, trying to do their jobs. Author and activist David Swanson says there is a police crackdown on activists and protestors that violates our first amendment rights.

Wall-Street NY New York USA America General People's Assembly Bowling Green Park August 2

AUGUST 2 GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON WALL STREET

AT THE BULL
Just South Of Broadway And Morris Street, At The North End Of Bowling Green Park
New York, NY
16:30 - 19:00

From the people who brought you the Bloombergville Occupation:

On Tuesday, August 2,
The Bankers’ “Debt-Ceiling Deadline”

Come To A People’s General Assembly On Wall Street
Oppose Cutbacks And Austerity Of Any Kind

Plan For The September 17 Occupation Of Wall Street

Gather at 4:30: Meet At The Bull, Just South Of Broadway And Morris Street, At The North End Of Bowling Green Park

As the two U.S. political parties unite to dismantle Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, it’s clear:

The bankers are looting decades-old peoples’ programs and the Democrats can’t help us. Obama can’t help us. Elected officials can’t help us.

It’s time for the people to meet and take the bull by the horns!

The students, union activists, and others who organized "Bloombergville" -- the three-week anti-austerity occupation on Wall Street’s doorstep -- have called for an August 2 General Assembly/Speakout on Wall Street, at the bull, from 4:30 to 7, to protest the ongoing pro-bank, anti-people cutbacks and gather into working groups to plan for the September 17 occupation of Wall Street.

This is a call for every teacher, home health aid, parent, student, tenant, librarian, city/state employee, childcare provider, nurse, patient, employed or unemployed worker or recipient of Social Security or any type of public assistance: on August 2 come to Wall Street – the scene of the crimes now being perpetrated on the people – and make your voice heard!

The current depression-level crisis is not due to lack of revenue. It’s due to theft. The trillions that the banks are sitting on right now? That’s our money. Whether through taxes; the looting of pension and social security contributions; or the wealth we created from our labor – all of that belongs to us. Come to Wall Street August 2 and strategize -- on how to get that back!

America Join World Revolution: Rise Up in Cairo Egypt Travel To Washington DC Take The Square October 6 For Real Democracy Now

First Cairo Egypt And Now Washington DC: Tent City Occupation Begins Oct. 6, 2011
by cardiffrevolution

Finally, a large, and rapidly growing, coalition of left wing and progressive activists, and organizations, is coming together with a clear and united platform. Hundreds of thousands are expected to descend on DC this coming October, 111 days from now, not just to march in a permitted parade and then return home, but to stay and occupy Freedom Plaza indefinitely, until their demands have been met.

The Bonus Army, made up of WWI veterans, did precisely this in 1932 so that they could be paid the money that the government owed them for their service, performed more than a decade earlier, and be able to feed their families during the horrible early years of the Great Depression. They were met with violence from the police and two of the veterans latter died from their wounds. The army was also called in and the protest was finally put down after almost six weeks.

In 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Junior was on his way to a permanent tent city being established on the Capitol grounds in Washington, called Resurrection City, as part of his ‘Poor Peoples’ campaign. He was murdered while in Memphis, on his way to the event. After his murder, the army was used to clear the demonstrators and their tent city.

Both of these prior events share fundamental principles with the October 2011 action. Illegal foreign wars, high unemployment, cuts to services and wages while increasing costs and taxes, and corporate influence over political institutions and policies are just as current today as they were at either of those times.

Wage disparity is worse than ever. Jobs are being lost, benefits cut, and homes foreclosed on while the financial elite are boasting record profits. The politicians they’ve paid for are busy stripping away any rules, regulations, and responsible taxation, in return for campaign donations and lucrative post-public-office positions. Plainly speaking, it’s the politician’s jobs to hold us down while Big-Finance, Big-Business, and any other well-heeled special interest with an army of lobbyists rapes us, robs us, and rolls us.

There is a nonviolence pledge that all participants are asked to sign even though it can be expected that the DC police, and the Federal Security Forces, are unlikely to have any such pledge of their own. Information and tips regarding peaceful civil disobedience, your rights, and your responsibilities, will be shared as the event approaches both at the main site as well as in regular updates here at News Junkie Post.

The left has been slow in their response to the loud rantings of the extreme right. A unified and focused effort that brings all those with shared fundamental principles together has taken some time to organize, but that time is here. In One Hundred Eleven days, on October 6, America will show up on the lawns of the Capitol and will not move until they have been heard, and the appropriate responses are forthcoming.

The October2011 site states;

“October 2011 is the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan and the beginning of the 2012 federal austerity budget. It is time to light the spark that sets off a true democratic, nonviolent transition to a world in which people are freed to create just and sustainable solutions.”

The event beginning October 6 is endorsed by a growing list of participating organizations that include ANSWER, Backbone Campaign, FireDogLake, The Green Party USA, Progressive Democrats of America, Single Payer Action, Veterans for Peace, War is a Crime, Food Not Bombs, Ted Rall – author of The Anti-American Manifesto, Code Pink, World Can’t Wait, United National Antiwar Committee, National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance, and many more. In addition to these organizations, there are currently more than twenty media outlets besides NewsJunkiePost.com that will be covering and carrying this event and all related and relevant information.

Also from the October2011 site;

“Previous demonstrations were one-day events which were simple for the Administration and Congress to ignore” Margaret Flowers, another organizer, told me. “The large demonstrations usually happened on weekends when there was little going on in Washington. “This is different because it is an occupation that begins on a Thursday, a day of business, and will continue.”
They will keep the heat on. “We intend to stay and to have waves of nonviolent civil resistance. The time for symbolic actions has ended. Too many people are suffering and dying here and around the world because of the policies of this nation. The planet is suffering because of the policies of this nation. This government has demonstrated that it is incapable of acting in the best interests of the people and planet. We say that this is unacceptable and we will stay and resist until this changes,” Flowers said.

The goal of the protest can be found in this excerpt from the pledge found on the October2011 site;

“I pledge that if any U.S. troops, contractors, or mercenaries remain in Afghanistan on Thursday, October 6, 2011, as that occupation goes into its 11th year, I will commit to being in Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C.,…where we will NONVIOLENTLY resist the corporate machine until our resources are invested in human needs and environmental protection instead of war and exploitation…”

The question of ‘if’ it’s going to happen is already settled; comprehensive planning by a large and committed coalition has ensured that. The goal is to sustain the action for as long as it takes. Pack small, pack smart, and pack to make it last. The action will begin during the beautiful low 70′s weather of early October in DC, but the hints of winter will only be a few weeks off. As a group, problem solving can be done as things develop, but, preparation can save a lot of frustration and strengthen the groups morale and resolve.

We have seen the response to such demonstrations in Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, and Syria. One always hopes that their own government will be more civil, and more democratic, and, indeed, this is everyone’s hope. But, make your back-up plans, contact plans, bail contacts, emergency numbers, etc. Good planning and preparation are what will ensure success.

A volunteers list is already being organized through October2011.org to manage logistics and supplies. Transportation programs are also available at the October2011.org site. A method for receiving donations has already been established and, it too, can be accessed through the October2011 site. Bookmark their page and check back here for any further details as they are available.

Mark your calendars: October 6, 2011, 111 days from today. Arrange to have the time off; as much as possible but preferably for the duration. I’ll see everyone there.

Revolutionary Occupation OCCUPYWALLSTREET: Wall Street New York USA America Revolution

#OCCUPYWALLSTREET
A shift in revolutionary tactics.

Saturday, September 17 at 6:00pm - 31/12 às 23:30

Alright you 90,000 redeemers, rebels and radicals out there,

A worldwide shift in revolutionary tactics is underway right now that bodes well for the future. The spirit of this fresh tactic, a fusion of Tahrir with the acampadas of Spain, is captured in this quote:

"The antiglobalization movement was the first step on the road. Back then our model was to attack the system like a pack of wolves. There was an alpha male, a wolf who led the pack, and those who followed behind. Now the model has evolved. Today we are one big swarm of people."
— Raimundo Viejo, Pompeu Fabra University
Barcelona, Spain

The beauty of this new formula, and what makes this novel tactic exciting, is its pragmatic simplicity: we talk to each other in various physical gatherings and virtual people's assemblies … we zero in on what our one demand will be, a demand that awakens the imagination and, if achieved, would propel us toward the radical democracy of the future … and then we go out and seize a square of singular symbolic significance and put our asses on the line to make it happen.

The time has come to deploy this emerging stratagem against the greatest corrupter of our democracy: Wall Street, the financial Gomorrah of America.

On September 17, we want to see 20,000 people flood into lower Manhattan, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months. Once there, we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices.

Tahrir succeeded in large part because the people of Egypt made a straightforward ultimatum – that Mubarak must go – over and over again until they won. Following this model, what is our equally uncomplicated demand?

The most exciting candidate that we've heard so far is one that gets at the core of why the American political establishment is currently unworthy of being called a democracy: we demand that Barack Obama ordain a Presidential Commission tasked with ending the influence money has over our representatives in Washington. It's time for DEMOCRACY NOT CORPORATOCRACY, we're doomed without it.

This demand seems to capture the current national mood because cleaning up corruption in Washington is something all Americans, right and left, yearn for and can stand behind. If we hang in there, 20,000-strong, week after week against every police and National Guard effort to expel us from Wall Street, it would be impossible for Obama to ignore us. Our government would be forced to choose publicly between the will of the people and the lucre of the corporations.

This could be the beginning of a whole new social dynamic in America, a step beyond the Tea Party movement, where, instead of being caught helpless by the current power structure, we the people start getting what we want whether it be the dismantling of half the 1,000 military bases America has around the world to the reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act or a three strikes and you're out law for corporate criminals. Beginning from one simple demand – a presidential commission to separate money from politics – we start setting the agenda for a new America.

Post a comment and help each other zero in on what our one demand will be. And then let's screw up our courage, pack our tents and head to Wall Street with a vengeance September 17.

for the wild,
