All the money that was being spent overseas creating mayhem took resources out of our society so only the TOUGHEST could survive. The Flower Children of the 60's had similar causes, I guess there wasn't so much then... war, poisoning of the environment, corruption in the court system, holes in social services, pharmaceutical drugs, strip mining, oil spills, poverty, child labor...
