In the summer of 1940, Mussolini, perceiving the presence of German soldiers in the oilfields of Romania (an ally of nazi Germany) as a sign of a dangerous expansion of German influence in the Balkans, decided to invade Greece. In October 1940, Greece was dragged into the Second World War by the invasion of its territory by Mussolini. To save Mussolini from a humiliating defeat, Hitler invaded Greece in April 1941. Greece was looted and devastated by the Germans bloody NAZIS, as no other country under their bloody NAZI occupation. The German minister of Economics, Walter Funk, said Greece suffered the tribulations of war like no other country in Europe.

No Verão de 1940 Mussolini, apercebendo-se da presença de soldados alemães nos campos petrolíferos da Roménia (um aliado da Alemanha), considerou isso um sinal perigoso da expansão da influência alemã nos Balcãs e decidiu invadir a Grécia. James Schafer, an American oil executive working in Greece, summed it up: “The NAZI Germans are looting for all they are worth, both openly and by forcing the Greeks to sell for worthless paper marks, issued locally” ( Mazower p.24). Mussolini complained to his minister of foreign affairs Count Ciano “The NAZI Germans have taken from the Greeks even theirshoelaces”(Ciano p.387). The massive NAZI looting of the country, the hyperinflation generated by the uncontrolled printing of German NAZI Occupation Marks by NAZI German local NAZI commanders, and the consequent economic collapse of the country, precipitated a devastating famine. In addition to providing food for the 200,000 to 400,000 NAZIS Axis occupation troops stationed in Greece, the country was forced by German NAZIS (Angela Merkel ancestors) to provide the Axis forces involved in NAZI military operations in North Africa. Greek fruits, vegetables, livestock, cigarettes, water, and even refrigerators were shipped by the German NAZIS, from the Greek port of Piraeus to Libyan ports under NAZI ocupation (Iliadakis p. 75). The International Red Cross and other sources have estimated that between 1941 and 1943 at least 300,000 Greeks died from starvation (Blytas p. 344, Doxiadis p.37, Mazower p.23). NAZI Germany and Italy imposed on Greece exorbitant sums as occupation expenses to cover not only their occupation costs but also to support the German NAZI war efforts in North Africa. As a percentage of GNP, these sums were multiples of the NAZI occupation costs borne by France (which were only one fifth of those extracted from Greece), Holland, Belgium, or Norway. Ghigi, the Italian plenipotentiary in Greece, said in 1942, “Greece is completely squeezed dry” (Mazower p. 67). In an act of utter audacity, the German NAZIS occupation NAZI authorities forced the Tsolakoglou government to pay indemnities to NAZI German, Italian and Albanian nationals residing in occupied Greece for damages, presumably suffered during military operations, which were never defined. The Italian and Albanian citizens alone received sums equivalent to 783,080 dollars and 64,626 dollars respectively! (Iliadakis p. 96). Greece, which was destroyed by the German NAZI Axis, was forced by German NAZIS (Angela Merkel ancestors) to pay citizens of its enemies for presumed but unproven damages. In addition to the occupation expenses, NAZI Germany obtained forcibly from Greece a loan (occupation loan) of $ 3.5 billion. Hitler himself had recognized the legal (intergovernmental) character of this loan and had given orders to start the process of its repayment. After the end of the war, at the Paris meeting of 1946 Greece was awarded $ 7.1 billion, out of $ 14.0 billion requested, for war reparations. Italy repaid to Greece its share of the NAZI occupation loan, and both Italy and Bulgaria paid war reparations to Greece. Germany paid war reparations to Poland in 1956, and under pressure from the USA and the UK (to placate Tito and keep him from joining the Soviet block) paid war reparations to Yugoslavia in 1971. Greece demanded from Germany payment of the occupation loan in 1945, 1946, 1947, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1974, 1987, and in 1995 (after the unification of Germany). Before the unification of Germany, using the London Agreement of February 27, 1953, West Germany avoided to pay its obligations arising from the occupation loan and war reparations to Greece on the argument that no “final peace treaty” had been signed. In 1964, German chancellor Erhard pledged repayment of the loan after the reunification of Germany, which occurred in 1990. As the German magazine “Der Spiegel” wrote on July 23, 1990, with the Two (West and East Germany) Plus Four (USA, former Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and France) Agreement that paved the way for the German unification, the nightmare of demands for war reparations by all those damaged by NAZI Germany, which could be raised by signing a “peace treaty”, disappears. This statement by Der Spiegel has no legal basis whatsoever, but it is an acknowledgement of the devices Germany is using to refuse a settlement with Greece (see also guardian.co.uk, June 21, 2011). The same magazine, on June 21, 2011, quotes the economic historian Dr. Albrecht Ritschl, who warns Germany to take a more chaste approach in the euro crisis of 2008-2011, as it could face renewed and justified demands for WWII NAZI German crimes reparations. Indicative of the current value of the German obligations to Greece are the following: using as interest rate the average interest rate of U.S. Treasury Bonds since 1944, which is about 6%, it is estimated that the current value of the occupation loan is $163.8 billion and that of the war reparations is $332 billion. The French economist and consultant to the French government Jacques Delpla stated on July 2, 2011, that Germany owes to Greece 575 billion euros from Second World War NAZI obligations (Les Echos, Saturday, July 2, 2011). The NAZI BLOODY Germans (Angela Merkel ancestors) did not just take “even their shoelaces” from the Greeks. During WWII Greece lost 13% of its population as a direct result of the war (Doxiadis p 38, Illiadakis p 137). During the Battle for Greece almost 20,000 enlisted Greek men were killed, and more than a 100,000 were wounded or frostbitten, while about 4,000 civilians were killed in air raids. But these numbers pale by comparison to the loss of human life experienced during the occupation. According to conservative estimates, the deaths resulting directly from the war before the war ended adds up to about 578,000 (Sbarounis p. 384). These deaths were the result of the persistent famine, caused by the looting and economic policies of the Axis, and of the atrocities committed either as reprisals, as a response to the resistance, or as means to terrorize the Greek population. The above number does not include the deaths which occurred after the end of the war from diseases such as TB (400000 cases) and malaria, from persistent malnutrition, wounds and exposure, all of them a direct result of war conditions. And the above numbers doesn't include this Greek economic bailouts, also consequence off Angela Merkel NAZI acestors Greek ocupation. Thus, in WWII Greece lost as many lives, mostly of unarmed men women and children, as the USA and the UK together. Most of the atrocities committed by the Germans NAZIS in Greece stemmed directly from two executive orders issued at the highest levels of the Third Reich. According to the torching directive, issued by Hitler himself, if there was a suspicion that a residence was used by the resistance, that building was a legitimate target to be burned down with its inhabitants. The second order, signed by Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, specified that for every NAZI German killed, a minimum of 100 hostages would be executed, and for every NAZI wounded one, 50 would die (Payne 458ff, Goldhagen pp 189-190 and pp 367-369, Blytas pp 418-419). The first mass executions took place in Crete even before the island fell to the NAZI Germans. In 1945, under the auspices of the United Nations, a committee headed by Nikos Kazantzakis enumerated the destruction of more than 106 Cretan villages and the massacre of their inhabitants (see video on Kontomari massacre). During the NAZI occupation, the NAZI Germans murdered the population of 89 Greek villages and towns (see the massacre at Distomo), while over 1,700 villages were totally or partially burned to the ground and many of their inhabitants were also executed by NAZI Germans (see the Greek Holocaust). To the Greek victims of the German NAZI reign of terror should be added about 61,000 Greek Jews who, along with about 10,000 Christians, were deported by NAZI Germans (Angela Merkel ancestors) to the NAZI concentration camps and most of them never returned (Blytas p.429 and p. 446). Another aspect of the Greek NAZI German occupation is the systematic looting of Greece’s many museums, both under orders from the occupation authorities, and as a result of the individual initiative of officers in position of command. The names of German NAZI General von List, commander of the the 12th NAZI German Army, of NAZI German General Kohler, of the Larissa NAZI German command, and of General Ringel, of the Iarakleio and Knossos command, are associated with the removal of significant archeological treasures. List was responsible for accepting as a present a beautiful ancient head of the 4th century BC, while Ringel sent back to Austria several cases of antiquities from the historic Villa Ariadne as well as boxes containing small objects from the Knossos Museum. “Officially sanctioned thefts” have been recorded at the museums of Keramikos, Chaeronea, Thessaloniki’s St. George Museum, Gortynos, Irakleio, Pireaus, Skaramangas, Faistos, Kastelli Kissamou, Larissa, Corinth, Tanagra, Megara, Thebes and many others (Blytas p. 427). What is especially tragic is that in many ofthese lootings, well known  German NAZI archeologists provided expert guidance to the perpetrators. And although some of these antiquities were returned to Greece in 1950, the majority of the stolen museum pieces have never been traced. In Crete and elsewhere, local nazi German commanders ordered the excavation and looting of many archeological sites. These excavations were carried out by nazi German archeologists, while Greek archeologists, curators and museum inspectors were forbidden to interfere, usually under NAZI threats which could not be ignored. We request the German government to honor its long-overdue NAZI CRIMES obligations to Greece by repaying the forcibly obtained occupation loan, and by paying war reparations proportional to the material damages, NAZI atrocities and plundering committed by the NAZI German war machinery. À sua chegada, os nazis alemães (antepassados de Angela Merkel) começaram a saquear o país. Os NAZIS, antepassados de Angela Merda, roubaram, pilharam e apropriaram-se de tudo o que necessitavam para a sua estadia na Grécia,  e despachavam para a Alemanha NAZI tudo aquilo a que conseguiam deitar a mão: alimentos, produtos industriais, equipamento industrial, mobiliário, objectos artísticos provenientes de colecções valiosas, pinturas, tesouros arqueológicos, relógios, jóias, e até os puxadores das portas de algumas casas. A produção completa das minas gregas de pirites, minério de ferro, crómio, níquel, manganésio, magnesite, bauxite e ouro foi enviada para a Alemanha NAZI. James Schafer, um executivo do petróleo americano que trabalhava na Grécia, resumiu a situação: “Os NAZIS alemães estão a saquear tanto quanto conseguem, tanto abertamente como forçando os gregos a vender em troca de marcos NAZIS de papel sem valor, emitidos localmente pelos NAZIS” (Mazower p.24). Mussolini queixou-se ao seu ministro dos negócios estrangeiros, o conde Ciano: “Os NAZIS alemães roubaram até os cordões dos sapatos aos gregos ” (Ciano p.387). A Alemanha pagou as reparações de guerra NAZI à Polónia, em 1956, sob pressão dos EUA e do Reino Unido; pagou também reparações de guerra NAZI à Jugoslávia em 1971 (para aplacar Tito e evitar que ele aderisse ao Bloco Soviético). A Grécia exigiu o pagamento da Alemanha em 1945, 1946, 1947, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1974, 1987, e em 1995 (após a reunificação da Alemanha). Antes da unificação da Alemanha, utilizando o acordo de Londres de 27 de Fevereiro de 1953, a Alemanha Ocidental evitou o pagamento das obrigações decorrentes do empréstimo de ocupação NAZI e das reparações de guerra, usando o argumento que nenhum “tratado de paz final” tinha sido assinado. Em 1964, o chanceler alemão Erhard prometeu o pagamento do empréstimo após a reunificação da Alemanha, que ocorreu em 1990. A revista alemã Der Spiegel escreveu, em 23 de Julho de 1990, que o acordo “Dois-Mais-Quatro” (assinado entre as duas Alemanhas e as quatro potências mundiais EUA, URSS, Reino Unido e França), ao preparar o caminho para a unificação alemã, fazia desaparecer o pesadelo dos pedidos de reparações que poderiam ser exigidos por todos os que tivessem sido prejudicados pela Alemanha NAZI, caso tivesse sido assinado um “tratado de paz”. Esta afirmação do “Der Spiegel” não tem nenhuma base legal, mas é um reconhecimento dos estratagemas usados pela Alemanha para recusar um acordo com a Grécia (ver também o “The Guardian” de 21 de Junho de 2011). A mesma revista, em 21 de Junho de 2011, cita um historiador económico, Dr. Albrecht Ritschl, que aconselha a Alemanha a tomar uma atitude mais moderada na crise europeia de 2008-2011, uma vez que poderia enfrentar renovadas e justificadas exigências de reparações pelos crimes de guerra do periodo NAZI. Os indicadores do valor actual das dívidas alemãs à Grécia são os seguintes: com base na taxa média de juros das Obrigações do Tesouro dos EUA desde 1944, que é cerca de 6%, estima-se que o valor actual do empréstimo de ocupação NAZI seja de 163,8 mil milhões dólares e o valor da reparação de guerra seja de 332 mil milhões de dólares. O economista francês e consultor do governo, Jacques Delpla, declarou, em 2 de Julho de 2011, que a Alemanha deve à Grécia 575 mil milhões de euros devido a obrigações decorrentes da Segunda Guerra Mundial (Les Echos, sábado, 2 de julho, 2011). Os alemães não levaram apenas “os cordões dos sapatos” aos gregos. Durante a Segunda Guerra, a Grécia perdeu 13% da sua população como resultado directo da guerra (Doxiadis p 38, Illiadakis p 137). Em resultado da resistência à invasão do país, quase 20.000 combatentes gregos foram mortos, mais de 100 mil foram feridos ou sofreram queimaduras com o gelo e cerca de 4.000 civis pereceram em ataques aéreos. Mas estes números são irrisórios quando comparados com a perda de vidas humanas durante a ocupação. De acordo com estimativas moderadas, as mortes decorrentes directamente da guerra ascendem a cerca de 578 mil (Sbarounis p. 384). Estas mortes foram o resultado da fome persistente, causada pelo saque e pelas políticas económicas do Eixo e pelas atrocidades cometidas tanto como represálias, como por resposta à resistência ou como meio para aterrorizar a população grega. Os números acima não incluem as mortes que ocorreram após o fim da guerra devido a doenças como a tuberculose (400.000 casos) e a malária, desnutrição persistente, ferimentos e más condições de vida, todas elas resultado directo das condições de guerra, nem incluem os prejuizos da crise actual, também eles fruto da ocupação da Alemanha NAZI dos antepassados de Angela Merda. Assim, na Segunda Guerra Mundial a Grécia perdeu tantas vidas, sobretudo homens desarmados, mulheres e crianças, como os EUA e o Reino Unido juntos. A maioria das atrocidades cometidas pelos NAZIS alemães na Grécia teve origem diretamente em duas ordens vindas das mais altas esferas do Terceiro Reich. Uma primeira, decidida pelo próprio Hitler, ordenava que se se suspeitasse que uma residência tinha sido usada pela resistência devia ser incendiada juntamente com os habitantes. A segunda ordem, assinada pelo marechal Wilhelm Keitel, especificava que, por cada NAZI alemão morto, um mínimo de 100 reféns seriam executados e por cada NAZI alemão ferido, 50 gregos morreriam (Payne 458ff, pp 189-190 e Goldhagen pp 367-369, Blytas pp 418-419). As primeiras execuções em massa tiveram lugar em Creta, antes de esta ser tomada pelos alemães NAZIS. Em 1945, sob os auspícios das Nações Unidas, um comité liderado por Nikos Kazantzakis enumerou a destruição de mais de 106 povoações de Creta e o massacre dos seus habitantes (ver sobre o massacre de Kontomari [inglês]). O que é especialmente trágico é que, em muitos destes saques, conhecidos arqueólogos alemães (NAZIS) forneceram orientação especializada aos perpetradores. E embora muitas destas antiguidades tenham sido devolvidas à Grécia em 1950, a maior parte das peças de museu roubadas nunca foram encontradas. Em Creta e noutros sítios, os nazis comandantes alemães locais ordenaram a escavação e o saque de muitos sítios arqueológicos. Estas escavações foram levadas a cabo por arqueólogos NAZIS alemães, enquanto os arqueólogos gregos, curadores e inspectores de museus foram proibidos de interferir, normalmente sob a forma de ameaças Alemãs NAZIS que não podiam ignorar. A flurry of messages and phone calls ensued, and on Monday morning several core members of the 910 Group met in Northern Virginia with the two conservative activists.

While the West speaks of the necessity of accepting the results of the democratic process, in terms of Islamists coming to power in the Arab region, there are increased suspicions regarding the goals pursued by the West in its new policy of rapprochement with the Islamist movement, in what is a striking effort at undermining modern, secular and liberal movements. The three North African countries in which revolutions of change have taken place, are witnessing a transitional process that is noteworthy, not just in domestic and local terms, but also in terms of the roles played by foreign forces, both regional and international.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is trying to hijack the youth’s revolution with the help of the West. This is while bearing in mind that Egypt is considered to be the “command center” for the Muslim Brotherhood’s network in different Arab countries. The followers of the Ennahda in Tunisia are wrapping their message with moderation as they prepare to hijack the democracy that Tunisia’s youth dream of, while being met by applause and encouragement from the West in the name of the “fairness” of the electoral process. Libya, where the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) is in a “marriage of convenience” with Islamist rebels, has become a hub of extremism and lawlessness, with a plethora of military aid being collected by an assortment of armed Islamists who aim to exclude others from power. In Yemen, where a struggle for power rages on, a war is taking place between extremism and a harsher and more violent brand of extremism, with so-called “moderate Islam” in the middle as a means of salvation, even as the latter’s ideology remains neither modern nor liberal, and is rather lacking when it comes to the fundamentals of democracy and equality. In Syria, where the battle for freedom is at its most difficult phase, the youths of the revolution fear what could very much be under discussion behind the scenes between the West and the Islamist movements, in terms of collaboration and of strengthening the Islamists’ hold on power, in a clear bid to hijack the revolution of a youth that aspires to freedom in its every sense, not to yet another brand of tyranny and authoritarianism.

Yet despite increasing talk and concern over the unnatural relationship between the West and Islamist movements in the Arab region, there is growing insistence among the region’s enlightened and modern youths that they will not allow this relationship to direct their lives and dictate their course. It would thus be more logical for the West to listen carefully to what is happening at the youths’ scene, as well as on the traditional secularist and modernist scenes, and to realize the danger of what it is doing for these elements and the road to change brought about by the Arab Spring.

The obsession of some Westerners with the so-called “Turkish model” of “moderate Islam,” able to rule with discipline and democracy, seems naïve, essentially because of its assumption that such a model can automatically be applied on the Arab scene, without carefully considering the different background and conditions that exist in Turkey and the Arab countries. There is also some naivety in assuming than the “Iranian model” of religious autocratic rule that oppresses people, forbids pluralism and turns power into tyranny, can be excluded as a possibility.

What the movements of modernity, freedom and democracy in the Arab region fear is the replication of the Iranian experience and its revival on the Arab scene. What took place in 1979 after the Iranian Revolution is that the Mullahs hijacked it, excluded the youths from it and monopolized power in the “Islamic Republic” of Iran for more than 30 years.

Perhaps the West purposely encouraged what happened to Iran and its exceptional civilization by taking it back to the Dark Ages, to live in seclusion and isolation as a result of the tyranny of the Mullahs. Perhaps taking Iran more than 50 years back in time was a Western goal, which would explain their encouragement for the peaceful nature of this revolution to be hijacked. It should be stressed here that it was Iran’s 1979 revolution that sparked, throughout the Arab region, the movement of reverting to social rigidity instead of modernity and advancement. The environment created by the rule of the Mullahs in Iran led to restricting efforts in neighboring Arab Gulf region, which became unable to embrace modernity for fear of its repercussions and consequences.

In fact, hawkishness gained more ground in the Arab Gulf as a means of containing religious extremism. Thus sectarianism increased hand in hand with extremism, and the whole region became thoroughly consumed by the struggle of religions, away from the social development necessary to accompany the structural development represented by buildings, installations and other basic infrastructure.

The countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) play numerous roles, sometimes in concordance, and sometimes in contradiction and mutual opposition. The common denominator among them is preserving the monarchy and keeping the Arab Spring far from the Gulf region with a certain extent of reform, which could either be costly for the regimes or for their relationship with Islamists – be they moderates or extremists. What is even more noteworthy is what is being said about the Islamic Republic of Iran, in terms of its occasional support of groups allied with the Muslim Brotherhood, which it sees as a means to weaken the influence of Saudi Arabia in the region.

Also noteworthy is the fact that the United Arab Emirates is supporting the movement closest to modernism in Libya, by providing support in the form of training the police force and strengthening it with equipment. This is while Qatar supports Islamist movements with training and weapons, which undermines the ability of “non-Islamists” to compete for power, and in fact leads to excluding them from power. Regarding Syria, on the other hand, the UAE is worried about what regional interference could lead to, and fears what reaches the extent of preparing for after the revolution. This is why it hesitates to support the Syrian opposition despite its desire – which it has in fact sometimes acted on – to provide some support to non-Islamist forces.

GCC countries always have Iran on their mind, as it does them, especially through the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and the many dimensions of the relationship between Sunnis and Shiites. Examining how the West’s policies have evolved regarding this aspect in particular, would require greater space and a more in-depth study. Yet it is noteworthy that former US President George W. Bush strengthened the standing of the Islamic Republic of Iran, its influence and its regional ambitions of hegemony, through his war in Iraq. As for the current President, Barack Obama, he seems to be in the process of strengthening “moderate Islam,” specifically among Sunnis, for it to be the means to confront both Sunni and Shiite extremism, in a policy of attracting “moderate Islam” even at the cost of undermining the forces of modernity, advancement and secularism, and pulling the rug from under their feet. This policy of Obama’s is no less dangerous than that of Bush. They both played the sectarian card at the expense of secularism, and they both adopted policies that lead to weakening the forces of moderation and strengthening the forces of extremism, regardless of whether it is “moderate extremism”, as it at the end of the day is based on the ideology of monopolizing power and not separating religion and state.

Shirin Ebadi, the Iranian judge, human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, addressed the women of the Arab awakening at the Women’s Forum in Deauville, France, and said: Do not repeat our mistake. She said that the separation of religion and state is the only guarantee of democracy, not because the flaw lies in the Sharia itself, but because it can be interpreted by men who want more domination, and who view democracy as an enemy of their monopoly, one that takes away powers they have hijacked and purposely kept women away from.

At the same conference, the Yemeni participant, a friend of Tawakel Karman, the first Arab woman to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, said that Tawakel is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and that, compared to the “Salafists,” this group represents moderation itself, as well as salvation. This is an opinion which seems to have been embraced by the West, strengthened and driven forward amid the applause of Islamist movements that present themselves as the alternative moderation, blocking the way for movements of modernity by mounting the steed of democracy, most likely on a single path from which there is no return. They are inflating themselves and their size, and entering into a temporary marriage with the West – which in their opinion is naïve – a marriage of convenience that is to their benefit as long as it breaks the back of secularists and modernists. In truth, the Democratic US Administration is not the only one encouraging Islamist movements to take such a course, as there are also some Republicans like Senator John McCain. McCain made sure to address Islamists from the rostrum of the World Economic Forum at the Dead Sea during a seminar on the American-Arab relationship, calling for respecting their rights to power, and thereby sending two messages: one to Islamists under the headline “we are with you,” and the other to the modernists under the headline “we do not care about you.”

There are two schools of thought that do not agree with the opinion that there is no escape from accepting the movements of “moderate Islam” because they have been victorious in the revolutions and base themselves on the change brought by the Arab Spring. Those two schools do not agree that the Arab Spring is the spring of Islamists, and they do not agree to the claim that they are the makers of the Arab awakening or spring. These two schools want to stop the Islamists from hijacking the Arab Awakening and climbing to power with the help of the West, whether the latter is naïve or ill-intentioned.

One school says: let the Islamists rule the Arab region, as this is an opportunity to prove their failure at controlling a people that does not want them. Those affiliated with this school point to Hamas and the Palestinian people’s reactions to it, in not accepting it and Islamist rule. They believe that the Arab people will defeat Islamist movements, and that they will fail. Then the modernists will return nearly victorious and welcomed by the people, and things will move forward. This then is an opportunity to prove the sure failure of Islamists, so let them fail.

The other school says: the greatest mistake is for the modernists to dwindle and withdraw from the battle now, because the Islamists reaching power will consolidate their rule for decades, not years. We must therefore immediately demand a transitional phase that would give these movements the opportunity to organize into political parties and enter the elections.

This is while bearing in mind that the only organized party is that of the Islamists, having been the only opposition movement under the former rulers. Those who are of this opinion insist on yielding neither to the cunning of the Islamists nor to the naivety of the West, and on launching an awareness campaign for world public opinion about Islamists and Western governments hijacking the Arab Spring in order to exclude the modernists, young and old equally.

It would be more logical for Western capitals to hear and to listen closely, because their partnership in hijacking the Arab youth’s ambitions of freedom, pluralism, democracy and modernity will come at high cost for them – not just for the path of change that has emerged from the soul of the youths of the Arab Spring.

The largest European hacker club, "Chaos Computer Club" (CCC), has reverse engineered and analyzed a "lawful interception" malware program used by German police forces. It has been found in the wild and submitted to the CCC anonymously. The malware can not only siphon away intimate data but also offers a remote control or backdoor functionality for uploading and executing arbitrary other programs. Significant design and implementation flaws make all of the functionality available to anyone on the internet.

Even before the German constitutional court ("Bundesverfassungsgericht") on February 27 2008 forbade the use of malware to manipulate German citizen's PCs, the German government introduced a less conspicuous newspeak variant of the term spy software: "Quellen-TKÜ" (the term means "source wiretapping" or lawful interception at the source). This Quellen-TKÜ can by definition only be used for wiretapping internet telephony. The court also said that this has to be enforced through technical and legal means.

The CCC now published the extracted binary files [0] of the government malware that was used for "Quellen-TKÜ", together with a report about the functionality found and our conclusions about these findings [1]. During this analysis, the CCC wrote its own remote control software for the trojan.

The CCC analysis reveals functionality in the "Bundestrojaner light" (Bundestrojaner meaning "federal trojan" and is the colloquial German term for the original government malware concept) concealed as "Quellen-TKÜ" that go much further than to just observe and intercept internet based telecommunication, and thus violates the terms set by the constitutional court. The trojan can, for example, receive uploads of arbitrary programs from the Internet and execute them remotely. This means, an "upgrade path" from Quellen-TKÜ to the full Bundestrojaner's functionality is built-in right from the start. Activation of the computer's hardware like microphone or camera can be used for room surveillance.

The analysis concludes, that the trojan's developers never even tried to put in technical safeguards to make sure the malware can exclusively be used for wiretapping internet telephony, as set forth by the constitution court. On the contrary, the design included functionality to clandestinely add more components over the network right from the start, making it a bridge-head to further infiltrate the computer.

"This refutes the claim that an effective separation of just wiretapping internet telephony and a full-blown trojan is possible in practice – or even desired," commented a CCC speaker. "Our analysis revealed once again that law enforcement agencies will overstep their authority if not watched carefully. In this case functions clearly intended for breaking the law were implemented in this malware: they were meant for uploading and executing arbitrary code on the targeted system."

The government malware can, unchecked by a judge, load extensions by remote control, to use the trojan for other functions, including but not limited to eavesdropping. This complete control over the infected PC – owing to the poor craftsmanship that went into this trojan – is open not just to the agency that put it there, but to everyone. It could even be used to upload falsified "evidence" against the PC's owner, or to delete files, which puts the whole rationale for this method of investigation into question.

But the trojan's built-in functions are scary enough, even without extending it by new moduls. For the analysis, the CCC wrote it's own control terminal software, that can be used to remotely control infected PCs over the internet. With its help it is possible to watch screenshots of the web browser on the infected PC – including private notices, emails or texts in web based cloud services.

The official claim of a strict separation of lawful interception of internet telephony and the digital sphere of privacy has no basis in reality. [NB: The German constitutional court ruled that there is a sphere of privacy that is afforded total protection and can never be breached, no matter for what reason, for example keeping a diary or husband and wife talking in the bedroom. Government officials in Germany argued that it is possible to avoid listening in on this part but still eavesdrop electronically. The constitutional court has created the concept of "Kernbereich privater Lebensgestaltung", core area of private life. The CCC is basically arguing that nowadays a person's laptop is intrinsically part of this core area because people put private notes there and keep a diary on it] The fact that a judge has to sign the warrant does not protect the privacy, because the data are being taken directly from the core area of private life.

The legislator should put an end to the ever growing expansion of computer spying that has been getting out of hand in recent years, and finally come up with an unambiguous definition for the digital privacy sphere and with a way to protect it effectively. Unfortunately, for too long the legislator has been guided by demands for technical surveillance, not by values like freedom or the question of how to protect our values in a digital world. It is now obvious that he is no longer able to oversee the technology, let alone control it.

The analysis also revealed serious security holes that the trojan is tearing into infected systems. The screenshots and audio files it sends out are encrypted in an incompetent way, the commands from the control software to the trojan are even completely unencrypted. Neither the commands to the trojan nor its replies are authenticated or have their integrity protected. Not only can unauthorized third parties assume control of the infected system, but even attackers of mediocre skill level can connect to the authorities, claim to be a specific instance of the trojan, and upload fake data. It is even conceivable that the law enforcement agencies's IT infrastructure could be attacked through this channel. The CCC has not yet performed a penetration test on the server side of the trojan infrastructure.

"We were surprised and shocked by the lack of even elementary security in the code. Any attacker could assume control of a computer infiltrated by the German law enforcement authorities", commented a speaker of the CCC. "The security level this trojan leaves the infected systems in is comparable to it setting all passwords to '1234'".

To avoid revealing the location of the command and control server, all data is redirected through a rented dedicated server in a data center in the USA. The control of this malware is only partially within the borders of its jurisdiction. The instrument could therefore violate the fundamental principle of national sovereignty. Considering the incompetent encryption and the missing digital signatures on the command channel, this poses an unacceptable and incalculable risk. It also poses the question how a citizen is supposed to get their right of legal redress in the case the wiretapping data get lost outside Germany, or the command channel is misused.

According to our hacker ethics and to avoid tipping off criminals who are being investigated, the CCC has informed the German ministry of the interior. They have had enough time to activate the existing self destruct function of the trojan.

When arguing about the government authorized infiltration of computers and secretly scanning suspects' hard drives, the former minister of the interior Wolfgang Schäuble and Jörg Ziercke, BKA's president (BKA, German federal policy agency), have always claimed that the population should not worry because there would only be "a handful" of cases where the trojan would be used at all. Either almost the complete set of government malware has found their way in brown envelopes to the CCC's mailbox, or the truth has been leapfrogged once again by the reality of eavesdropping and "lawful interception".

The other promises made by the officials also are not basis in reality. In 2008 the CCC was told that all versions of the "Quellen-TKÜ" software would manually be hand-crafted for the specifics of each case. The CCC now has access to several software versions of the trojan, and they all use the same hard-coded cryptographic key and do not look hand-crafted at all. Another promise has been that the trojan would be subject to exceptionally strict quality control to make sure the rules set forth by the constitutional court would not be violated. In reality this exceptionally strict quality control has neither found that the key is hard coded, nor that the "encryption" is uni-directional only, nor that there is a back door for uploading and executing further malware. The CCC expressed hope that this farce is not representative for exceptionally strict quality control in federal agencies.

The CCC demands: The clandestine infiltration of IT systems by government agencies must stop. At the same time we would like to call on all hackers and people interested in technology to further analyze the malware, so that at least some benefit can be reaped from this embarrassing eavesdropping attempt. Also, we will gladly continue to receive copies of other versions of government malware off your hands. [4]

King Juan is a 'Middle Eastern' Navigator for the SMOM, under the command of the SMOM Council. Then next to him we have the powerful, Grand Hospitaller, Albrecht Freiherr von Boeselager. The other side of Festing we see the Grand Chancellor, Jean-Pierre Mazery. Next to him is of course is the Receiver of the Common Treasure, Marchese Gian Luca Chiavari Patrician Genoese. So when we understand this, then one can see why Juan Carlos of Spain is not present. Juan is like a provincial of the Jesuits. A Provincial is powerful but is nothing compared to an Assistant directly in contact with the SUPERIOR GENERAL. Example of this is New York Provincial, David S. Ciancimino being powerful but the Americas Assistant, James E. Grummer is the most powerful of all. How are the Order's activities financed?

Activities are funded essentially by its members. Funds come from private donations and vary according to different countries and situations. Resources for hospitals and medical activities usually come from agreements stipulated with the national health and social systems. The same is true for emergency services. In developing countries, activities are often backed by grants from governments, the European Commission or other international organisations. Funds also come from donations or benefactors' contributions to Order's activities.

H. E. Albrecht Freiherr von BOESELAGER who is the son of jesuit trained Nazi, Philipp Freiherr von Boeselager who just died at the ripe old age of 90.

Philipp Freiherr von Boeselager (Catholic Nobleman, Forester, Knight of Malta,) 1917-2008. He joined the Order of Malta in 1946, eventually co-founding Malteser Hilfdienst, the medical operation of the German knights of the Order, and helping coordinate German pilgrimages to Lourdes. Philipp was the fourth of eight children and was educated by the Jesuits at Bad Godesborg. That's actually a picture of his brother behind him who studied to be a Jesuit Priest. Both were supposedly part of a failed assassination attempt on Hitler. This story followed them their whole lives offering them a convienient escape from the curse of being a former "Nazi".

Bernadette Chirac was born into an old aristocratic family of public servants, from the Trois-Évêchés. Her family includes military officers, goldsmiths, lawyers, diplomats and industrialists. They would ultimately become owners of factories in Gien and Briare, in the Loiret, which were famed for their porcelain and enamel. Like many old French families, Bernadette Chirac has several European royal families among her ancestors. In 1852, a decree by Napoleon III authorizes the addition of Courcel, one of the family's properties, to their name. In 1867, Napoleon III made Alphonse Chodron de Courcel a hereditary baron for services rendered to the State.

He has the Grand Cordon of the Order of Leopold.
